What do you think makes rock and metal music culture different to other types of music?

I’ll go first. To me its the way it feels like one massive family. You feel like everyone is just out to have a good time and can be their true selves without fear of being judged by anyone.

    For me, it’s the rebellious spirit of the music itself.

    Rock has always appealed to me by the beat of the music, awesome lyrics, power ballads, and I just want to turn up the volume and get lost in it all, Just plants a smile on my face as soon as a favorite tune starts to play and it has not been that way with other types of music,

    I like that I can sing along loudly without fear of spoiling the enjoyment for others around me! The people who enjoy this music tend to be fun to be around, and who doesn’t love a strong power ballad?!

    For me it’s the sense of belonging, at a rock/metal festival you know you’re safe. If you fall down you will have people clamouring to pick you up. Having been to other music genre festivals I’m pretty sure that’s not the case.

    I think it’s the sense of belonging, and being true to yourself even if others don’t like it. Rock and metal have pushed me to embrace my true self without any fear.
