What do you love about rock and metal music/ what or how does it make you feel?

I’ll go first. To me rock and especially metal music can be an emotional crutch. If I’m having a bad day or at an emotional low, I find putting on some metal music cheers me up again.

    I don’t listen to much metal anymore except if it’s stuff by scale the summit or other instrumental bands. Rock music can uplift me at times. It depends on the type of rock though. It has to be something that clicks (if you get what I mean).

    Rock and some metal invigorate me. I’m not a die-hard metal fan, but I enjoy some “crossover” tracks.

    Rock music is very dramatic, passionate and expressive, just like my emotions. I guess I simly plunge in the familiar and natural level of intensity, when I listen to it 🙂

    I love all sorts of music! Once you find that perfect song for the mood you’re in at the time, there is nothing like it. Music is the best therapy. Regardless of the type of day I am having, nothing hits better than Dream Theater!

    For me a good dose of golden oldies at top volume does it to me, Then no matter how i actually feel it not only boosts my mood but also makes me feel like dancing,

    Same here. Good rock music has that power. I always listen to rock music when I drive to work. It has an empowering effect.

    I’m a writer.

    I need the best list of songs to put behind the battle scenes, the high-powers anthems when my characters are about to show the world how strong they are.

    Rock tends to do the trick.
