This post marks the start of a fantastic new segment on Fox Reviews Rock: Follower Interviews! In this segment, I ask a follower and friend of the site questions all about rock and metal music before exploring what they are passionate about.
This time it’s Ian J. Myers from the brilliant https://ijmphotography.net/. Bear in mind that Ian is a classically trained musician who prefers Jazz and Classical music for the most part, so go easy on him in the comments!
What is your favourite rock/metal band?
“I do seem to have a fondness for Tenacious D. It could be not just the musicality, but also the dynamic between Kyle and Jack. It just seems to resonate with me. And a certain pick of destiny was fun to watch.”
What is your favourite rock/metal song?
“I loved the rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s American National Anthem from Woodstock. The man deservedly has legendary status.”
What do you enjoy about rock/metal music?
“Rock music just seems to get you when you listen to it. It does of course ooze coolness, not the same coolness as jazz of course, but coolness nevertheless. I would also like to mention Metal fans, some of the scariest people on God’s Earth, but generally some of the nicest people on God’s Earth.”
Which post on Fox Reviews Rock have you enjoyed the most and why ?
I was interested in the post you made about the band from Nantes!(Ko Ko Mo) I remember being amazed by it! Local lads make good, and the music is good too!
What is the name of your own site? Explain a little about what you do.
“Ahh my little passion project IJM Photography (ijmphotgraphy.net) is about photography. I try and be the guy who first taught me and helped me explore everything photographical, and help people slide gently into the craft. It’s a pretty good read even if you’re not a photo freak like me. Who knows, you might even enjoy the look through…”

Can you tell our readers about what’s coming up soon on your site?
“The next ones are about editing your photos on the go. I use Snapseed, available on Android and on IOS. It works and does the basics very well.”

What can people expect to love on your site?
“I think the film archive is something that might generate some interest. As would the photography tutorials. I also reviewed the Pentax ME super that if you’re interested in a new camera you might enjoy.”
