Vote Now: Judas Priest vs. Diamond Head vs. Dio – Save A Song Series

This is the ninth instalment of a new mini-series of polls – Save A Song! In this series, you choose your favourite song of the three listed and save it by voting for it and discussing it in the comments section below.

That song is then saved! Whereas the other two unfortunately are the losers and get deleted from existence… Okay, so not really, but you get the picture. Here, you are voting for the song that you would want to still exist!

After a few weeks of these polls, there will be a final poll of all the winners to choose the grand champion song!

Sometimes the poll does not show for everyone so the options are;

  • Judas Priest – Living After Midnight
  • Diamond Head – Am I Evil?
  • Dio – Rainbow In The Dark

    Man, Diamond Head!! I haven’t thought about them in years!! I absolutely loved them and the first three albums in High School and then early college. “Am I Evil?” Definitely the tune here!

    I listened to all three songs, beginning with Dio’s “Rainbow in the Dark.” It was the high harmony on the chorus that triggered my memory, but it’s been many years since I’ve heard it. I suspected that might end up being my choice. Then I listened to Judas Priest “Living after Midnight” – another great song, and one I hadn’t heard in forever and a day.

    But then came Diamond Head’s “Am I Evil.” WOW. I don’t think I’ve heard of the band at all (crazy!). As it began, I felt an early prog metal vibe approaching. Where has this song been all my life? I listened three times in a row! “Am I evillllll? Yes I am. Am I evillllll? I am man. Yes I am.” No words for those outstanding lyrics!

    But it was the guitars that did me in. “Am I Evil” is my undying choice, and thank you for an exceedingly fun time! 🎸🤘🤓

    I feel like I’m voting Dio because of the man and not the song, but when will I ever get a chance again to vote for the greatest metal vocalist of all time? 🤘 plus he invented devil horns and that gave us this universal emoji for metal! 🤘🤘🤘
