Introduction
Canada’s Sunday Riot Club is making waves in the rock scene, having shared the stage with iconic acts like Whitesnake, and Dead Daisies. Their music showcases a powerful blend of high-energy intensity and hard-hitting riffs, reminiscent of Guns N’ Roses. With the recent launch of their 2024 EP, L’Opera, we dive into one of its standout tracks, “White Bronco.”
Review
Kicking off with a captivating riff layered with an echo that makes it seem like you’re listening to the song within a cave, it’s clear from the start that this track is steeped in atmosphere. As the drums come crashing in, the song’s path becomes unmistakably defined, establishing a strong drive and tempo that sets the scene perfectly.
The guitar solo at this point really grabs you by the collar, pulling you in with force; these musicians definitely know how to entertain! The vocals are gritty and powerful, while remaining memorable and melodic.

Although the chorus is somewhat simplistic, it’s undeniably catchy. I found myself humming it long after the song ended. One lyric that stands out to me is, “With every breath he shows no fear, whispering tales of victories.”
At about the two-minute mark, there’s another guitar solo that stands out as a true highlight of the track for me; every single note hits just right.
I’ve talked a lot about the guitar, but I have to say that every instrument on this track is well-organized and polished. However, the mix leaves something to be desired; I believe the vocals should have been slightly louder to enhance their clarity.
A great example of the band getting this right is their other song, “Burned Out Paradise.” Honestly, the score reflects my concerns about the mix, as I can’t give it a high rating if I can’t fully appreciate all the elements.
In summary, “White Bronco” is an outstanding track that showcases the band’s immense potential. The vibrant energy and unique stylistic choices leave me eager for more! If it were to be remastered, I believe it could easily reach the 8s and 9s in my book, but for now, it just misses the mark. Nevertheless, I can’t help but tap my feet to every beat!
