The Masquerade are a symphonic theatre metal band coming from Hell itself, fronted by The Maestro, the current ruler of Hell. His bandmates, the Mannequins, are people who committed the most horrific crimes in their past lives centuries ago, and have been conjured up by The Maestro to join him.
The Masquerade incorporates the aesthetic and musical styles of bands such as Ghost and Avatar but with a much darker twist, perfect for those who know and enjoy what it means to feel evil.
The song selected is entitled ‘Enter the Masquerade’, the band’s debut single and the first full-length track on their debut album, Escape From Hell, which came out on November 15th of this year.
‘Enter the Masquerade’ is about someone who has descended into Hell and greeted by The Maestro, who treats this person like a special guest and tells the audience everything that this person is feeling after they’ve just arrived in Hell.

A word from The Maestro himself about Enter the Masquerade: ‘As I was writing the song, it gave off a strong impression and I wanted to reflect that in the lyrics, as if someone was greeting you with a boisterous handshake.
The song was mostly inspired by my desire to create a hard and fast track that would really get a crowd moving. I wanted the intro to this album to be something that would really make a strong first impression and one that would leave a lasting impact.’
The Masquerade will embark on a tour of the UK in Spring 2025, so stay tuned to find out more details.
