Review
As soon as the first drumstick strikes (Samara Ellis), you just know this is going to have some serious momentum! When combined with a fuzzy guitar riff (Claire FitzGerald) and a bass (Marlowe Shachory) that unifies the entire sound, it’s evident even within the opening ten seconds that this is going to be a fun ride!
Vocally I find it to be a reminiscent of Hole , combining that grungy deliciousness with a modern day slant. I suppose tempo wise though this is closer to punk which is bound to get some people excited.
“I walk away from you.”

I want to highlight the outstanding contributions of the backing vocals and drumming on this track. Backing vocals wise they are always perfectly timed and add something to the overall sound. Rather than being random and as can sometimes be the case fairly pointless.
As for the drumming, there’s a solo around 1:13 that deserves more recognition than it probably currently receives! I would have considered extending it by a few more seconds for even more impact.
That drum solo serves as a gateway to a tonal shift halfway through the track. The vocals take on a soothing touch, while this section I think is the strongest for the bass. It feels as if you’ve stepped into an entirely different song, especially with the brief absence of the fuzzy guitar.
“Another day goes by.”

If I had to highlight a couple of areas for changes, I’d say the vocals could be a bit clearer at times. Is that an issue with the mixing, or is it a characteristic often associated with grunge music? If it’s the latter then fair enough!
I do also think that its missing a hook that gets stuck in the listeners head which I feel are more evident in their other songs “Liar Liar & Compliment”. Finally, I would really appreciate an extra 30 to 40 seconds added to this track so I could enjoy it a bit longer! Of course, I could always just listen to it a few more times!
All that being said my opinion on the song is that it is … “A short lived but thoroughly enjoyable shot of adrenaline!”
