Scary Kids Scaring Kids – Holding On.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in an emo phase… Well this week I have well and truly embraced that genre of music! Here is a really underrated track that brought back so many memories when it came on!

Brian Adams & Mel C – When you’re gone

As today is St.Jimmy’s birthday, I thought I’d pick a song that reminds me of him! I’m not really sure how it came about, but we listened to this song a lot when we first began dating and it’ll forever remind me of us getting to know each other!

St Jimmy

Danzig – Mother

Today is my birthday and I’m currently in Gdansk in Poland with Rex. Danzig is the German name for Gdansk and so I had no choice but to choose this awesome song for this week’s tune.

Gotta go with Rex! Bryan Adams & Mel C – When You’re Gone is a great tune!

There’s just something about this song that sticks; it’s catchy, raw, and a little bittersweet.
Bryan Adams brings that gravelly, nostalgic edge to every word, while Mel C’s vocals add a punch of brightness and urgency.
Their voices blend in a way that makes the longing in the lyrics hit a little harder. It’s about missing someone, plain and simple; but instead of wallowing, it drives forward with energy.
You feel the ache, but you’re also dancing along with it.

It’s got that 90s magic to it too; not real overproduced … just authentic emotion and a rock solid melody.
Whether you’re belting it out loud in the car or nursing a memory, “When You’re Gone” hits the sweet spot between heartbreak and harmony.
