Today for the 7th instalment of Set The Tone With… We are joined by AKiMBO. Welsh alt-rock band AKiMBO have that familiar style but done in a really unconventional way. As Crazy Pug Music told me they are equally likely to charm you as they are to bite your arm off!

Awesome sax and trumpet licks along with great soul vocals.

Perfect BPM for getting things done in the kitchen. Good for focus and concentration.

Slow and delicate guitar picking with soft vocals. Delay effect on the main guitar is seriously relaxing.

We put our blood and soul into this track and spent a lot of our time perfecting it.
Your all time favourite rock song?
This is a song that means a lot to us as a band. It’s got amazing head-banging drive, with lush guitar licks. Arlandria is a rather simple song which uses a variety of guitar layers and drum patterns to give it that edge.
The perfect song to set the mood on a date?
This song could make anyone fall in love. It’s almost as if you’re “Slow dancing slowly in a burning room”! Which is another amazing song which sets the mood for any date.
A song by an amazing local band we might not know about?
We have gigged with these guys and they really know how to set the scene for a show! Addictive guitar riff and catchy lyrics.
The perfect pre show song to amp you up?
We often get this song blasting when we are en route to play a gig. When it kicks in, it could get your ready to go to war!
A great song you think Fox Reviews Rock won’t have heard before?
Mo Lowda and the Humble have got a load of amazing tracks. This one, however captures their talent the most for us. The combination of the killer bassline and the effect guitar licks punch straight through the speakers.
