Orange Blossom Special Festival

The Orange Blossom Special Festival (OBS) has added to its 2026 lineup. The second act to be confirmed is the Indie Folk band Animat. Known for their enchanting voices wrapped up in warm multi-layer harmonies. They’ll bring their signature sound to the festival next summer in Beverungen, Germany.

This festival holds a special place in our hearts at Fox Reviews Rock, as we were part of the official press team at last years event. We reviewed our experience and interviewed many of the bands and even the festival owner!

Animat Joins The OBS 2026 Lineup

The beautiful voices of Anna Meier, Tabea Niewerth and Milena Wagner will be heard on the breeze next summer in Beverungen, Germany. Known collectively as Animat the trio draw attention to the world around them and help listeners view it in a more thoughtful way.

Their debut EP “Slowwalker” features songs that are just dying to be talked about! “Fertilizer” has a real life affirming feel to it, with its chorus a real highlight. “Blue” in comparison is a softer and more melancholic song, one for those who don’t mind extensive thinking. Whereas “Cherry Blossom” subtle plants the message of new beginnings.

The result of the bands collective efforts is this gorgeous feel good Indie Folk music. Which is honest as well as comforting like a warm hug. They will be performing as a walking act on the Friday at OBS 2026 as well as an additional show on the Saturday! Give their EP Slowwalker a listen ahead of the festival.
