Band Background
Alice Cooper with the original band re-united released their first full band studio album in over 50 years! Featuring all the hard rock theatrics that one would expect from a Alice Cooper record. Nostalgia in spades! On guitar for this record was the amazing Gyasi who we had the pleasure of interviewing earlier this year (featuring a question about this album).
What’s Good About This Album
The true sense of a reunion on this album with all surviving members gives this proper authentic chemistry as if not even a day had gone by. With modern clarity in production techniques the 70’s style feels alive once more!
Favourite Tracks
Slithering it’s way into your ears is the albums opener Black Mamba. The guitar riff on this track immediately gets the hairs on the back of your neck standing up. It feels evil to its core with the use of dynamic vocals and a moody atmosphere it is the albums biggest track easily.
This is much quicker in speed, and feels like it is a rebellious rock n roll song of days gone by. I think this song despite not being as good as Black Mamba has more radio friendly sounds and could do well moving forward because of that.
