Set The Tone With
The premise behind this post type is to get an insight into the daily lives of the bands that we love! We have given them some situations to attribute a song to and let us know why that song in particular is perfect!
You can check out the answers the band gave below, as well as jam out to the tunes they picked. Want to listen to the complete collection from this segment? Click the Spotify link below!
What is the perfect song for the gym?
Bad Penny by Big Black. It’s got the perfect vibe to get you moving. It also helps that Steve Albini sounds like a maniac chasing you with a knife.
What is your go to happy song?
TV II by Ministry. The glitches in the song harmonise with the glitches in your head when you’re having a fit of rage. (chef’s kiss)
The wind down song at the end of a long day to get you to sleep?
John Cage’s 4’33”. It would also be the song I would take with me on a desert island.
The song by No Prisoners that you are most proud of?
Your all time favourite rock song?
Today that would be Paradise by Tropical Fuck Storm.
The perfect song to set the mood on a date?
Saturday Night at the Book Store by The Dicks. Or when the date is going really good: 12 Gauge Autopsy by Peeling Flesh. Hot stuff.
A song by an amazing local band we might not know about?
Are Animals Different by The Germans.
Also Witte Rook by Maria Iskariot. Hard to pick one. Both bands are from my hometown Ghent and both are the best bands in the universe. Belgium has a lot of hidden gems in rock music. Some day the world will know.
The perfect pre show song to amp you up?
Goin’ Out West by Tom Waits.
