Albums Of The Year 2025 – 13 – Yungblud – Idols

Fox Reviews Rock - Albums Of The Year 2025

It has been a great year in the realms of all things rock! What better way to celebrate the brilliant new releases of 2025 by counting down our favourites.

Band Background

Known for his blend of alternative rock, pop-punk Dom better known as Yungblud is on one hell of a rise. After the year which included the death of his close friend Ozzy Osbourne, he is ending it going strength to strength. With lyrics that border rebellious and vulnerable while being a strong representation of the social issues the world is struggling with.

What’s Good About This Album

This is by far the most rock like of the albums so far by Yungblud. It has depth and maturity and more importantly it is without boundaries. Creatively it is like he has been set loose. It feels deeply personal, yet somehow manages to retain its catchy edge and remain relatable!

Favourite Tracks

This is about as raw as it gets lyrically, wrapped up in a rock ballad about feeling insecure. There is no wonder this got a Grammy nomination, keep your ears out for that orchestral element too, something they should do more of.

Yungblud – Zombie (All Rights Are Retained By Yungblud)

This song is really long! At over 9 minutes it flows with personal lyrics and vulnerability. It feels massive at times too, this should have been a bigger hit when it came out.

Yungblud – Hello Heaven, Hello (All Rights Are Retained By Yungblud)
