Albums Of The Year 2025 – 1 – Sleep Token – Even In Arcadia

Fox Reviews Rock - Albums Of The Year 2025

It has been a great year in the realms of all things rock! What better way to celebrate the brilliant new releases of 2025 by counting down our favourites.

Band Background

Good look pigeon holing this band into a genre… The blend progressive metal, alternative metal, djent, electronic, pop, R & B. This is not an exhaustive list. The band are completely anonymous with singer Vessel being the only one with a name. Other members are known as II, III,IV. Their songs focus on mythology, identity, inner struggle and emotion. While they have heavy instrumentation the vocals are often this beautiful tone and creates a real contrast.

What’s Good About This Album

It hit number 1! Not only that but catapulted the band into the mainstream spotlight and regular radio play. Featuring a real mix of genres and moods across the album there is something for everyone. With the bands theme continuing it also showed real growth both in showmanship and song writing.

Favourite Tracks

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the saxophone at the end! When you mix in piano, heavy metal and hip-hop this is a clear example of the work this band are doing to blend thing together others wont dare. I like how it goes from punchy to expressive at the drop of a hat too.

Sleep Token – Emergence (All Rights Are Retained By Sleep Token)

This was the bands first top 10 single in the UK and a real reason why they blew up this year in popularity. Imagine if R&B had a baby with heavy metal and this is pretty much what it would look like. With a real pop like chorus that even people who don’t like rock have been singing in public! Lyrically this is about the effects of fame on the singers life where people have been trying to find out who he is.
