Velvet Underground–such an important part of sending me in the direction of alternative music. I have to say–the diversity between the two proposed bands boggles my mind. I think Velvet Underground might have a better chance had their track been “Sweet Jane” or “Walk On The Wild Side.”

Haha If its 2 similar bands then its easy for people to judge which they prefer. But 2 different bands altogether gets people thinking. Plus it helps me tailor what direction to take future posts, what sort of bands people like etc 🙂

Thank you for clarifying–I knew there must be a “method to your madness!” 😊

The early albums, up to Horrorscope, had great songs, riffs and production. And Bobby Blitz has such a unique voice. Overall they were great thrash band.

The Years Of Decay is their best and the best of thrash metal.

Velvet Underground. Is it unanimous? And Pale Blue Eyes is a hauntingly beautiful song.

I have heard some of their stuff, a bit before my time as I was just a kid when they existed but I do like what I heard from them. i just looked and had no idea Lou Reed was part of that band.
