This is our brand new weekly feature (Normally) on a Monday! The New Rock Roundup will rank the latest releases spanning across the world of rock music. With entries from rock, metal, metalcore, punk, pop punk, alternative and indie!
There will be a brief explanation about why I (Fox) enjoy the song in question from each category before I rank them at the end in terms of my own preference. I would love to hear your own person ranking as well as why you agree with or disagree with my comments.

New Rock Roundup
Rock
Black Stone Cherry – Deep.
There is many things Black Stone Cherry do well, heartfelt ballads just so happen to be my favourite of those. With that southern accent on the vocals, and really thoughtful lyrics. Yeah it just does it for me!
Metal
Thrice/Audiotree – Gnash.
The gritty vocals on this are fantastic! I also really enjoy the deep and dark tone to this with the occasional but of electronic effect. This is not like their normal songs but I found it genuinely interesting.
Metalcore
PRESIDENT – Angel Wings.
For saying this totally isn’t Charlie Simpson of Fightstar & Busted fame (It Is) it sure does sound like him… I like the filthy riffs throughout, the slightly altered vocals and most importantly the amazing breakdown and harsh vocals at the end. The song just sort of reveals this vicious underbelly and wow is it good.
Punk
unpolished* – accept me!.
This is one for the old school punk lovers. unpolished* have featured on our site a couple of times but at no point did I ever get misfits vibes till now!
Pop Punk
Bowling For Soup – I’m Just A Kid.
Well I love Bowling For Soup and I love Simple Plan. So this was ALWAYS going to be a massive hit for me. I do however think they put their own little spin on things which at least makes it different!
Alternative
Suzan Kocher’s Suprafon – Le Temps De L’Amour.
I could not resist the psychedelia, dream pop vibes of Suzan Kocher this week! It is sung entirely in French which somehow elevates her voice even more. Suzan please give others a chance!
Indie
Arts Fishing Club – Just The Way It Is.
I went for a more relaxed vibe with the Indie this week. Arts Fishing Club remind me so much of Mumford and Sons that it’s pretty impossible for me not to enjoy this.

2nd Place: Arts Fishing Club
3rd Place: Suzan Kocher’s Suprafon
4th Place: Black Stone Cherry
