Afternoon, your vulpineness. I don’t know what’s changed (or if it’s just me), but the email from wordpress isn’t showing the songs you’ve selected, just links. I noticed this a few days ago but didn’t think anything of it – but now I actually was interested enough to click them. This gives me two problems: first, I don’t use Spotify (because I want musicians to get paid and I don’t want to fund the AI arms race) and this gives them a click. Secondly, the page you land on actually shows the date the album/song was released!

So… yeah, I know the answer to this. But I take no credit and now will slink away in shame.

Just thought you might like to know

  Thanks for letting me know. I know about the date and year thing, unfortunately I can’t really solve that one as its just how Spotify works. No idea why they are only showing as links in the email though.
  
  I will be looking at alternative services but unfortunately it is the worlds most used one and its pretty convenient too.

      Another consideration is how long it would take to move all the playlists over somewhere else. Personal and the websites ones which have like 1000 tracks on haah

        I really don’t want to make it an issue; it’s not my business and I understand that Spotify is popular for a reason. But just to say, most streaming sites allow you to import playlists from Spotify. Qobuz certainly do

I got it from the Super Bowl date, I know the first Super Bowl was in 1967… but that gets a little complicated since the Super Bowl is played in early February (used to be late January when I was a kid) so even though Super Bowl LI was in 2017, it’s considered the championship for the 2016 NFL season.
