It has been a great year in the realms of all things rock! What better way to celebrate the brilliant new releases of 2025 by counting down our favourites.

Band Background

Plaiins based in Hamburg have a real indie-punk flair about their music. Their lyrics mix social commentary, sarcasm (there is a lot of that) and personal experiences. Getting quite the following online as well as being noticed by BBC and Kerrang! It won’t be long before everyone knows Plaiins.

What’s Good About This Album

The blend of punk energy with indie rock especially with its hooks and hilarious lyrics give this a real sense of being different. The energy levels never let up either and while they do tackle real personal themes it is always done in a fun way.

Favourite Tracks

This feels about as punk as you can get. With a real driving guitar and the indie like stylings that grab the attention. The song is about personal experiences lead singer Chris had with the music industry. I wont spoil it but listen to those lyrics and it is quite telling! I cannot wait to here this song live.

Plaiins – Do One (All Rights Are Retained By Plaiins)

Row She Said was the first song we heard by Plaiins and we loved it so much it was our song of the week! The song is about national identity and politics. The aggressive vocals and riffs make this a truly standout moment, and one the band will only continue to grow on.
