What release are you most proud of?

I wrote Tattooed Skin in mid 2023 after drawing all over my arm during an English Class at school. Which Inspired me to come up with the title of Tattooed Skin. Later I went out busking to raise money for the incredible charity that is Broxtowe Women’s Project.

This then gave me the idea to record and release my song for them as a charity single. Since it’s release in 2024 ‘Tattooed Skin’ has grown in so much meaning for me as I continued to work with Broxtowe Women’s Project and have had many conversations surrounding the song at my gigs.

What are the songs you would recommend to new listeners?

This song started with me watching the TV show ‘Gentleman Jack’ with my mum. I wrote the song Inspired by the show encasing themes of forbidden love, danger and secrets within my lyrics. Inspiration for Surreptious came from the forbidden love and relationship between Ann Walker and Anne Lister who lived in the 1800’s as well as the countless queer people who were forced to live their life in secret.

Lucy’s song is incredibly poignant and I wrote it as a dedication to someone in my community who we lost. She was the same age as me, 17 and her name was Lucy. I wrote this song for her and about the countless systems that need changing and replacing resulting in catastrophic failures. Lucy’s Song channels the anger and grief felt by victims of a failing system including Emma, Lucy’s mum.

When can we expect some new music?

I am currently working on several projects while focusing on building connections with live audiences and aiming to start sharing my next project in 2027.

Who would be your dream collaboration?

I would love to collaborate with Georgie (Girlband) as she is an incredible songwriter with an amazing voice and talent.

What is the goal for the next 12 months?

My goal for the next 12 months is to build my live audience and connect to different people through my music.

What is your message to new listeners?

Thank you so much for supporting my music. It means so much to me as a songwriter when people enjoy and connect to my music. As an original music artist I love sharing my music with new people and different audiences. Thank you again for supporting me on my journey.
