What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?

This is going to come as a shock to some of my regular readers but I didn’t got to a rock show until I was 20 years old! So my advice would be if you love rock, metal or in fact any music… Go as young as you can!

I look back on all the bands I love that I missed out on because I was not brave enough to go and see them before that age. I look at all the festivals with STACKED lineups that I would have genuinely loved. Don’t have the same regret as me, get yourself to live music events.

My first gig was with papa fox in Sheffield to see a band called Shinedown who have since probably trebled in size! I still enjoy their music and I hope you enjoy this song from their earlier days.
