Guns N’ Roses vs Mötley Crüe: Which Band Reigns Supreme?

Which of these two bands are your favourite? Take a listen to the below two tracks. Want to shout out your favourite of the two , or share experiences etc then please leave it in the comments , id love the comments section to be alive and kicking for these posts. Stand up for your favourite!

This one has some real heat behind it. Vince Neil not only hit Izzy Stradlin , but also offered to fight Axl Rose in a PPV fight which never came to be (If that’s sadly ill let you decide).

Thx for the video, well extremely debatable who is better, Guns may have a more sophisticated sound more memorable songs, and one album that will never be forgotten(AFD) on the other side M.C. is a fun ride when the need arises….
FYI I have stolen your video from ,it was the perfect ending for my topic, so thank you for this music/battle presentation and the unexpected gift, the video from GNR. LOL
Great work, All the Best my Friend!

I love both of these bands, but I gotta go with Guns ‘N’ Roses. Listened to them more often than Motley Crue.

Basically I think it was the song choice’s. I guess maybe I got burned out on Guns and Roses air play time.

Another tougher one for me. I have an appreciation for both bands, and I don’t think I can truly say that one of them is better to me than the other.

I actually like both songs, but prefer Guns ‘N’ Roses in general, so I’ll go with them. BTW, the Motley Crue video wasn’t available to me (in Canada), but I found an alternate, in case you have any other Canadian visitors:

I really enjoy listening to both of these bands! But the question should rather be: Would you watch them live? That question has always popped into my head ever since I went to watch The Beach Boys live in 2012 in South Africa.

It was like sitting in a morgue, to be perfectly honest. People watching the show had oxygen tanks with them, literally! And let’s just say that the band members were pretty old by then, too. OMW: All of a sudden, I feel pretty old myself, lol!

So, would you watch them live? Come on – spill the beers and let us know!

Well I’ve seen them both live so yes. I would 🙂
Axl’s voice is a little off key in places but they are iconic! Motley have probably aged worse but I’d go and watch them still.

At live gigs, I’ve seen Crue twice now and Slash once (GNR didn’t re-form until after I had kids). I love both. But if I had to pick – only if I had to – I’d have to go for Motley Crue.

That’s great! At least you follow your own path and ears , most just follow the crowd 🙂

This is a tricky one. I think Appetite trumps the Crue catalogue, although the heavy sound of Dr. Feelgood is difficult to beat. Also, Live Wire is pure old fashioned hedonistic rock, cowbell and all.

Both were fun back in the day…but GNR. Had tix to see live, but they had a bit of a riot at a venue in St. Louis, so the next venue in KC (where I was headed) cancelled their show. Madness. [dang I am old, google tells me that was in 1991!]

Great question, probably not unless I was comped the tix. I know their stuff by heart, but it isn’t in my heart now, if that makes sense.

Guns N’ Roses. Too much music there. If you turn off an instrument you get a new song.
