Cozzer’s Question 02/09/24

Which band that no longer exists or artist that is no longer with us would you like to see return, even if for only one show?

I’ll go first. I’d choose Dio. Growing up I was always listening to Dio and unfortunately never got the chance to see him/them live.

Let us know your choice in the comments!

Bowie. I never got to see him live and regret that omission.

Runner up: Ian Curtis singing for with Joy Division.

If I could go back in time, I’d love to see him on the Isolar II tour. I played my original vinyl to absolute death back in the day. I believe he was at his peak creatively then. ❤

Probably true. I’ve always been partial to the Ziggy era, but I’ll admit it wasn’t his most artistic period. The periods both before and after were much more creative.

Guess it’s time to queue up some Low for the evening… ❤️

Yes – the line up with Chris Squire and Rick Wakeman. I only saw Yes once and it was after Squire passed. He was an amazing bassist.

I’ll also jump on the Bowie wagon too. 😉

For an actual kick-ass performance: Queen with Freddie.

For sentimental value: The Grateful Dead, but only if I get to bring my dad to the show. The Dead were always one of Dad’s favorite bands, and he invited me to see them once when I was in high school, and I said no because I didn’t know the music very well at the time, and I had heard stories about what kind of things happened at Dead shows. Jerry died a couple years later, and I felt bad that I never took up Dad on his offer. (See DLTDGB episodes 3 and 45 for stories I wrote inspired by these memories)

Way way too many. I’ll echo those who said the Jimi Hendrix Experience. The Marquee Moon Television line up would be up there in any short list for me too.

If I’d branch out to Jazz and Blues the list would go on and on.
