Wow! 50,000 that’s fifty thousand views.
I sit back here in astonishment at what this team have achieved in such a short space of time.
When the site started, it was a one post a week operation. It had no connection to the bands that we reviewed. Now, we can build relationships with bands as well as the wonderful people who read our posts. This is truly amazing.
There have been some post types that have come and gone. The Podcast has been put on hold until the team can find a better use for it. There are constantly new ideas flowing. New posts like the exciting “This Week’s Tunes” will drop its first edition this Sunday!
I think what’s been so great for me though has been talking with all of you! Every single comment means the world to us and we genuinely try to reply to all of them. Not always in agreement but always appreciative. It’s so amazing that we have had very little abuse since starting this. That was a massive worry of mine.
I think a lesson I personally have learned through this is have confidence. You need to have confidence in what you are putting out. Otherwise, it’s not going to be genuine, relatable, or remotely interesting.
Having interactions with bands like IDestroy, Kensei and many more have shown a nicer side of the industry. This is more than I personally remember. It also shows that people are willing to discuss music for much longer than other things. The interviews and reviews with the bands listed above were an absolute blessing to do. I really hope this marks the start of a fantastic working relationship.
Getting to know the people behind the bands is honestly one of the best parts of this. Getting to know silly things like their favorite drinks and pet’s names is just as important to us. Questions about the band are obviously equally important but don’t always give insight into the people.
