If you were to be asked to recite the lyrics of a song 100% accurately, which song would you pick?

I would pick “Static” by South of Salem. I have had this song on repeat since it was released as a single and am quite confident I would nail the lyrics. Also thank you to everyone who wished me and Vixen congratulations on our wedding!

    “One Hundred Years” by the Cure off their Pornography album. I used to have the whole album’s lyrics memorized from start to finish but some of it has slipped from my head the past few decades.

    I agree with you it is a great choice. Congrats on the wedding and many years of love. There are many songs that are favorites that when I listen as soon as the music begins the lyrics already fill my mind, Like the beginning of the Queen song

    Difficult question, there are so many. ‘Brown Sugar’ by the Stones is up there in my personal chart, so I’d have to go with that. Not quite the same thing, but once when overseas I went to a concert performance of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ sung in Russian. No problem, the lyrics in English were going through my head simultaneously with the Russian ones onstage. Surprised myself there! 🙂

        It was a good moment for me. I’ve known people though who can recite the whole of an episode of a classic TV series, or a comedy sketch – I’m not that far gone – yet! 🙂

    Not to toot my own horn but too many to count. Anything by Foo Fighters (notably Everlong, Pretender, Learn to Fly, Road to Ruin), a lot by Dylan, Smashing Pumpkins. It’s a skill/coping mechanism to recite songs when I get a little anxious so seriously, tons of songs!
