While on Instagram we discovered Punk Rock Factory, a pop-punk cover band. Our first experience with the band was at Rock City in 2023. We got food and slowly headed to the venue thinking it would be easy to get in with little to no queue, after seeing the massive crowd of people wearing merch showed us just how wrong we were. We were about to discover why!
Peej (Vocals/Guitar), Ryan (Lead Guitar), Benj (Bass) and Kob (Drums) make up the bands various parts. On this occasion they opened up with a Back Street Boys cover “Everybody”. This was followed by “Under The Sea” from The Little Mermaid. The crowd was going crazy with moshpits! We expected a fairly chilled out gig but our expectations were very wrong! We quickly became huge fans and have since collected all their vinyls!
Regularly touring Europe, Australia and the USA it was great when they returned to the UK. This time we got tickets in Birmingham at the O2 institute with support from Adam and the Metal hawks, a hard rock band, we thought they were a brilliant fit to start the show. In just the short amount of time between seeing Punk Rock Factory you could tell they had grown in confidence and their show was even better due to an expanded stage set up!
This time we were back at Rock City, armed with VIP tickets which included a meet and greet, a photo with the band, lanyards, posters, first entry, and the chance to get your merchandise signed! We took this opportunity to get the last couple of our vinyls signed to complete the set. The Punk Rock Factory guys really are a fantastic bunch! We had a great laugh with them and they even took some of our Fox Reviews Rock business cards to give to their support acts throughout the tour. This made our experience even better!
They seemed thrilled that we had pre-ordered the vinyl tour edition of their upcoming album. We later found out that this means we will be included in the credits how cool is that! They are attempting to get this album “All Hands On Deck” to number 1. So if you would like to help them achieve this you can pre-order it here.

The first band of the night was a 6-piece pop-punk band called Big Drink. They were full of energy and got the crowd going , we really enjoyed their songs “Bottle Things Up”, “Purple Drank” and new single “404”.
A cool moment was when Josh (Vocals) was promoting their merchandise and a fan shouted “I want that top” pointing to JME’s (Bass) pink tie dye t-shirt with a unicorn on the front, he then took his top off and gave it to the fan, leading to a massive cheer from the crowd.
Big Drink put on an amazing set, made better with all the jumping around and dancing, it really got us, and the crowd amped up for the night. Braydie (Vocals/Laptop) was giving everyone hi-5s including us, St Jimmy was also lucky enough to catch a guitar pick too! We will definitely go and see them again and are keen to see what they do in the future.
And remember those business cards we gave Punk Rock Factory? Well a result of that is an interview with Big Drink in the works so watch this space!

Wolves Of Glendale were on next they are a California based comedy rock trio (Ethan, Vocals/ Guitar), (Eric, Vocals/Drum Pad) and (Tom, Vocals/ Keyboard). They came on stage all wearing matching wolfpack jumpsuits with their names on. The first song they performed was a sort of cover of “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet where they changed the lyrics to numbers which was really fun to join in with! We found it even more funny as we had just been at Rock City a couple days before to see Jet. If you missed it you can check that review out here.
In the venue there is a staircase leading up to the balcony, people tend to stand on them to get a good view of the stage. The band decided to make up a song called “F*ck Those People On The Stairs”. They dedicated the song to those people on the stairs and encouraged the crowd to flip off those people and the entire crowd loved it, the band kept making jokes about the stair people throughout their set and it just seemed to get funnier!
Wolves Of Glendale did some on the spot mashups with the crowd suggesting a song, artist, or genre. This resulted in “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” mashed with “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”. As well as the Scooby Doo theme song mashed with “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin. Some crowd suggestions they didn’t know, but they still tried, with these and all sorts of crazy combinations made a great addition to their set.
As well as making stuff up on the night they also played their comedic songs “I Barf”, “Vapin In Vegas” and their latest single “Ricky”. They closed their set with “The Gym” and received a huge round of applause.
The band are touring in the USA in November and December. If you want to go and see them you can use the Ticketmaster link below, we promise you won’t be disappointed!

Finally, the moment we have been waiting for, on the barrier for Punk Rock Factory!
Opening with hits from Disney films Moana and Aladdin as well as “Mamma Mia” by ABBA, They know exactly how to get a crowd going with their amazing instrumental talents and the whole place was rocking out!
Playing a variety of songs from their albums, PRF played their latest single “C’est La Vie” followed by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song. Peej was amazed that they had sold Rock City out two times in a row calling it their second home which put a big smile on our faces.
While recording their new album All Hands On Deck, in Sheffield they became friends with a musician there, who they named Lower Case Jay he was then brought out to perform “Surface Pressure” with the band. He was full of confidence running around the stage and it seemed like he was loving it.
The band then got 2 people from the crowd on stage to perform the rap part of “You’re Welcome”. Luckily they picked two that were good at rap, resulting in them getting a free t-shirt each. We recorded it and sent it to one of the rappers mothers at the end of the show as she was so excited about her daughter being on stage she forgot to press the record button on her phone!

Punk Rock Factory then performed Take That’s “Back For Good”. They then announced that they were recording for the music video, with us being right at the front we think there is a good chance we will be in it!
Peej announced that you can win his guitar from the tour in a competition, we think this highlights how much class the band has and how much they respect their fans. A few fans tried to ruin things with heckling and others decided to get themselves kicked out for fighting. Why you would pick the Pokemon theme tune to fight to is beyond us!

Other theme tunes were enjoyed throughout the show include Spongebob Squarepants , Power Rangers and Toys R Us. They also played “Thriller” with Peej donning a red jacket and the other band members dressing up in skull masks. They finished their 20 song long set with “Let It Go.” providing the crowd with one last chance to sing an anthem.
This is the third and definately not the last time we will see Punk Rock Factory! They are currently touring in the UK till the end of November, and have a European tour in March. We fully recommend getting a ticket to see them as they are so much fun!
