Tough choice between “Hey Jude” and “Let It Be”, and I ended up leaning ever so slightly towards the latter of the two. While I like all of the songs offered up, those two earworm me the most, probably due to the sing-alongy elements in both.
Come Together – It’s an anthem of unity—both electrifying and enigmatic. Each time Lennon croons “Come together, right now,” it’s like a rallying cry for solidarity, connection, and sheer groove. A beat that gets under your skin, lyrics that intrigue, and a swagger that can’t be matched. What’s not to love?
WoW !! This was a tough one.. I was torn between, “Here Comes The Sun” and “Yesterday.” Because of the emotions in Paul’s voice on this song, I have to go with Yesterday.
I’ve gone for Here Comes the Sun. Not because it’s the best out of those songs (how could it outshine – excuse the pun – Yesterday?) but because it’s uplifting, It cheers me up. It’s incredible that it was not released as a single.
I went with Hey Jude because the other guitar player in the band and I would do this on acoustic guitar at BBQ’s and it was always a good time. Tough list tho, all excellent songs
Tough choice! For musicality, Here Comes the Sun; for lyrics, Let It Be; for the story behind it, Come Together; for fun, Hey Jude. If I had to pick just one, I would go for Let It Be. 😊
One of my favourites of theirs is actually I’m Only Sleeping but as that isn’t on this list, I’m going to say Come Together 🙂 Though the lyrics to Yesterday are pure poetry.
Hey Jude and Let It Be – 2 of my favourite Beatles songs. My other favourite is Eleanor Rigby, and I’m not too bothered by the rest of their music. But these three are excellent! 🙂
They’re all so good really, but I have to go with Yesterday. It’s so different from most of their songs and it’s not so catchy, like others on the list. I put Revolution next on the list!
Here Comes the Sun has always been a favorite, I also enjoy Yesterday and learned how to play it on the piano when I had a piano, Then also I like Hey Jude and Let It Be, I have to say I am not too fond of Come Together,
I sure do wish I had my piano but it was much too heavy an instrument to bring back from Latvia to the US, However, one of these days I might get a keyboard just to play some tunes for myself,
I like all the songs mentioned, but Yesterday is my favourite of the bunch.
It hits me on a deep and emotional level and makes me reflect on the past.
The instrumental of the song also features in my favourite film; Once Upon A Time In America, so the song has extra meaning to me.
Yeah it’s a gangster movie which deals with pain, regret, dreams and the past etc. starring James Woods and Robert DeNiro. It’s a long movie though, almost four hours long.
