The next instalment in our weekly Spotify Playlist “Song Of The Week” this time we are joined by Puma Theory with their song “Foolish Boy”.

Song Explanation
Harnessing distorted guitars and stirring melodies, Puma Theory (Jacob Holroyd & Cameron Smith) are an alternative rock duo whose songs explore themes of identity, anxiety and change. Expanding to a four piece when playing live, the band display a raw, honest and impassioned performance.
“We wrote our latest single ‘Foolish Boy’ together based on stories we’ve watched play out through both our lives. Cameron’s homemade fuzz pedals helped us get to new sonic territories and allowed us to explore a heavier sound in tune with our favourite artists and influences like The Black Keys & Queens Of The Stone Age. As always we had our fantastic producer Ian Davenport (Gaz Coombes, Demob Happy, Band of Skulls) at the helm guiding the ship making sure to keep things authentic and retain the spark of the song without overcooking it. We’re excited to share the next steps in our musical journey in Foolish Boy.
We’re currently in the process of finishing up a run of dates in London, Reading & Brighton in the UK this year and will be going on a UK tour early next year with new music to follow in 2025.”
