This Week’s Tunes Vol – 13

Welcome to our weekly post dedicated to what each member of the team has been listening to. Delve into the inner workings of what comes out of the speaker at Fox Reviews Rock HQ!

What’s more is that every song in these posts will end up on a dedicated Spotify playlist. Meaning you can catch up on all our favourite new tunes!

Fox

Guano Apes – Big In Japan.

I completely forgot this song existed, this cover version has always been my favourite. This is why I love shuffle on Spotify. This song came on randomly. I think I have played it 30 times since. I love the harsher vocals without them being impossible to decipher. The energy is great too!

Rex

Bring Me The Horizon – medicine

I’ve been on a bit of a BMTH kick this week, this song is pretty relevant right now metaphorically and litteraly (I’m hoping the clouds will go tonight too so we can watch the meteor shower!) it’s also one of my favourites of their newer stuff!

Bring Me The Horizon – medicine (All Rights Retained By Bring Me The Horizon)

St Jimmy

The Rakes – Strasbourg.

Last week I travelled with Rex around France, Germany and Switzerland seeking our Christmas markets. We stayed in the “Christmas capital of Europe”, Strasbourg.

The first band I ever saw as a teenager with my mates  was The Rakes, as they supported Franz Ferdinand back in 2005. I also remember this song from the FIFA 06 video game.

As I was wandering Strasbourg, this song was obviously going around my head.

The Rakes- Strasbourg (All Rights Are Retained By The Rakes)

Cozzer

W.A.S.P – Wild Child.

A favourite of my Mums, this song was always playing when I was growing up and never fails to get me rocking.

W.A.S P – Wild Child (All Rights Are Retained By W.A.S.P)

Lucky Luke

Hatebreed – Destroy Everything.

That crunchy guitar tone is killer!

They were a pretty good band, I only discovered last week that they only lasted 6 years and split up in 2009
