As a massive Oasis fan they are, unless you’ve been living on the Moon for the past 6 months, getting back together for a nationwide and then world tour. I can’t handle being in crowded places anymore due to my bipolar but I tried to get tickets for a mate on the day they came out. To no avail. But these tickets were £150+ for the cheapest ticket. I have seen them 7 times and the most I paid was £30. It prices the majority of fans out of the equation when you factor in travel, accommodation (if needed), food and drinks and this can end up being close to a £500 day easily.

I tried to get tickets too, but they went up to like £300+ when I got through, for a standard ticket, so I didn’t bother. You’ve done well to see them 7 times!

Yeah it was ridiculous. I had the presale code and I was nowhere near getting one and then on the general sale it took hours to get in the queue for a ticket and when I did I was about 432,986 in the queue. You’ll be able to get one for face value outside the gigs I reckon. People can’t afford to pay that price and the resale price some of the tickets were put up for after the sale was ridiculous. The best gig I saw them at was at the reebok stadium in Bolton, the farm stereo mcs and the happy Mondays supported them

Ticket prices are getting ridiculous now but there are still some reasonably priced ones out there but it seems like any legendary artist is always over £100 these days.
Oh wow, I went to that stadium when it was still the Reebok, not sure what it’s called now. That’s Awaken that you got to see some great support acts too.

A couple of years ago me and a mate went to Dublin, Ireland to see Liam Gallagher at Malahide Castle, Richard Ashcroft was the support act. With flights, hotel and ticket for the gig it was about £150 each. Bargain. But that’s the price it should be so it’s available to nearly everyone

That is a bargain, Dublin is great for gigs, I’ve been there for 3 gigs, 2 at Marley park and 1 at Croke Park.
Yeah I agree, music should be affordable for everyone.

It was a great trip. I’d definitely go to Ireland again. The musicians in the pubs in Dublin City centre were fantastic too, every single one of them.

Yeah I would definitely go back too, you can always find music going off in Dublin, Rex and I met Green Day Drummer Tre Cool in one of the bars there, I asked for a photo and he was super nice.
Have you been to the rock museum there?

Fair enough, if you do go back it’s worth checking out

I’ve got tickets for two concerts in February: Trombone Shorty and Cowboy Junkies. Ticket prices are high but what really pisses me off is the Ticketmaster add-on fees.

I haven’t heard of them but will give them a listen. Yeah the add on fees are ridiculous, I’ve had a print off fee before even though you could get in with your phone.

Love Green Day, Wheatus and some of the newer bands!! I’d give my left lung to attend a concert but my stupid agoraphobia man. 😮

I’m sorry that you have agoraphobia. Tbf Rex & I get nervous sometimes with crowds at gigs, the music is our distraction.
