Song Of The Week – V-Neck – Mettle

V-Neck – Mettle (All Rights Are Retained By V-Neck)

Song Background

The inspiration came from a late night discussion about the failings of humanity, especially in large groups of people.

We tried to look for examples where large groups show good/positive behavior and one of the examples we landed is some of our experiences to Metal gigs (couple of the band members are big fans of the heavier end)

People get thrown around, throw themselves into each other, jump off the stage and so on, but if anybody falls, loses their items of clothing or has had too much, everybody stops and helps them.

Reason why we spelled the song Mettle is to focus more on the positive characteristics of the people at the gigs instead of focusing on the metal genre itself.

Mettle is the fourth track from our first Album release “We Only Have What We Can Hold” which is out now on all major streaming platforms!
