Hello everyone and welcome to the inaugural Fox Reviews Rock Awards! In this post we will outline all the amazing bands that made an impact with us this year. We will also be announcing the first artist into our very own Hall Of Fame! To be eligible bands need to have been featured on any of the following post types.
- Interviews
- Reviews
- Song Of The Week
We had so many excellent bands to choose from that choosing was much harder than we had anticipated. So if you’re in a band that got an award congratulations. If you didn’t please note that we still LOVE your music, and there is always next year.
Hall Of Fame
Cam Cole

We are thrilled to announce Cam Cole as the first ever Fox Reviews Rock Hall Of Fame inductee! His interview with us spanned his career so far. It has been viewed by a record number of viewers on our site. The interview covered his entire career to date from albums, documentaries and appearing on a popular TV show.
We were fortunate enough to catch up with Cam in person at a show recently in Nottingham. Both Cam and his manager Markus are brilliant people who we cant wait to work with again! Welcome to our Hall Of Fame Cam!
“The guys at Fox Reviews Rock are real rock fans, it’s passionate folks like Steven and gang that are mad enough to start a new rock online magazine in this day and age and make it work. Getting a nod of approval from that crew is pretty sick and a big honour. Appreciate it a lot!!”
Albums
Best Album
Green Day – Saviors

This was coincidentally the first ever post on the site. Its win for best album gives a full circle-like feeling. The band delivered smash hits like “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Dilemma.” This really marked a return to form for them!
In a year, our team saw them twice in two different countries. This experience has only made us more excited for their appearance at Download Festival 2025!
Breakthrough Album
Slow Animals – Backwards Into Forever

Its blend of alt rock and psych creates the perfect storm for this to be a hit. And it is! The lyrics have hints of indie and pop meaning its a catchy monster. No wonder it was on repeat in the office for weeks. Check out our review.
“Backwards into Forever is a record years in the making and we’re so happy to share it with the world. There’ll be more to hear from us later this year so keep your eyes peeled…Much love to Fox Reviews for choosing us for Breakthrough Album of 2024!!”
Best Album Artwork
Stonekind – Hollow Ground

The album itself is a fantastic fusion of rich vocals and dreamy guitar work, give this a listen! Take a look at our interview with Stonekind! You can read the description of the album cover in the bands own words, for the very first time.
“Thanks so much for selecting our album art as the best of 2024 and for all you’ve done to share our music!”
“The desolate yet serene desert vibe of this piece immediately struck us as a fitting backdrop for the music and concept of Hollow Ground. We didn’t want anything too busy or detailed for the album art, but rather something that set the mood and atmosphere for the ensuing journey.”
Artist
Best UK Artist
Cam Cole

A lot of what we wanted to say about Cam was in his Hall Of Fame Entry. However, we have a few extra things we wanted to add. Having seen him live he is somehow even better than on record. Infectious energy and live performance are 100% what he was put on this planet to do! I have never seen anyone play the footdrums and guitar at the same time. Singing along while doing so is really a sight to behold! I hope he is working on new material so I can double my Cam Cole vinyl collection…
Best International Artist
Mother’s Cake

Fresh off the success of their latest album Ultrabliss the Austrian Band Mother’s Cake have had one hell of a year. Having interviewed them not only do they produce fantastic music but also they are both really nice guys and funny! Poor Boy & Serotonin instantly became classic for us and we couldn’t think of a band more suited to our best international artist award !
Shout out to the Fox team! Not only have they proven their convincing taste with their choice 😉… No, whenever you want to find really cool music you know where to turn. Hail from se Cake!
UK Breakthrough Artist
IDestroy

Originally, I accidentally saw the band at Download Festival 2024 because I was stuck in the merch queue. I can safely say that was the best accident ever! It led to us interviewing the band and reviewing their album. I would also like to say thank you to the girls for being so open to working with us. We class you as massive friends of the site!
Thankyou so much for selecting us as your UK Breakthrough Artist for 24/25 ! Fox Reviews Rock have been super kind and supportive ever since our first review with them at Download 2024. We are so excited to have been picked for this and can’t wait to share upcoming news with the team very soon !
International Breakthrough Artist
KiNG FOO

This award was fully won on merit because they are brilliant. I can also say they are the band that covers the most countries. With members having lived in Serbia, Italy, Slovenia and USA…
They came to our attention with their hit Scream (A song of the week for us). It is a really exciting time for the band with them recently making it through to the semi-finals of San Marino’s Eurovision selection. Good Luck KiNG FOO! One thing is for sure, 2025 is going to be an even bigger year for the band.
Band To Keep An Eye On
Simbulis

As soon as I heard the guitarist from a band I used to listen to had started a new band our interest was piqued. To interview the band and get to know the other members that way was special! What was even better though was going to their debut show and reviewing it. These lads have what it takes to go far , dedication , skill and enthusiasm in bucket loads!
“I don’t know what to say other than, We’re super grateful to have been noticed by you in amongst the countless great bands you’ve interviewed. It’s been a crazy hard road to be recognised by anyone, so for you to believe in us enough to direct others to us is massive. Thank you, and thanks for everything you do for heavy music.”
Songs
Best Song
Moon Fever – Feels So Good

This song has it all! Vocals that remind me of Chris Cornell, riffs in abundance, bass that ties things together and crashing drums! This song (and I checked this) has been played by myself 100 times in the past year… Its chorus is so damn catchy, but don’t just take my word for it give it a listen!!!
We’re so hyped that the sludge of Seattle has reached and affected so many people, and we’re still amazed that people sing it back to us live. This song was the glue that brought us together as a band, and still feels just as good to play now as when we wrote it. Thank You!!!
UK Breakthrough Song
Percival – Love You To Death

This is an absolute tune! We reviewed it as part of our 6-month anniversary. I’m glad it’s being talked about after a year too! To be honest I think I love this song even more now than I did back then… Over time the extra listens have cemented its place in my brain. I cannot wait for more from these boys from Wales!
Since releasing Love You To Death back in July 2024, we have received such an overwhelmingly positive response from everybody out there and to receive the award for UK Breakthrough Song is real confirmation that what we’re doing is worth it. Thank you to everyone out there who has shown us what it means to be Percival, and keep an eye out for One Trick Too Many! (Presave available soon!)
International Breakthrough Song
Seven Blood – House ≠ Home

It is not often that you immediately connect with a band, both on a personal and musical level. In the case of Seven Blood it was instantaneous. So far we have done an interview with the band , as well as being fortunate enough to meet them at a gig in Manchester (Thanks for getting me and Cozzer on the guest list!)
The song itself House ≠ Home is wonderfully delicate and vulnerable. It is about where you come from and the values that your family might have. That is wrapped up in powerful vocals, intricate drumming, heavy basslines and guitar parts to make any riff fiend happy! This was an absolute shoe in for this award. It was also the third song selected to be our song of the week too!
“Thanks a lot to Fox Review Rock Team and every Follower here. We’re extremely thankful receiving this award, and especially a big thank you to Fox Reviews Rock Team for the support from the first day of our existence. Oli / Seven Blood”

Fox Reviews Rock Reader Award
Samantha Hunter
We class ourselves as very lucky to have someone as passionate as Samantha comment on our site! Every time we see her name it brightens our day with her love of Punk!!!
Sorry every post can’t be punk related, Samantha. If every post was punk related, you would not have discovered Ghost through us. I guess that’s a happy result!
