Song Background

Collide is a sci-fi themed song about the sun colliding with another star and survivors roaming space hoping to find a new planet as earth is destroyed. I’m really into those space adveture type of movies and wanted to write a song in the same genre.

Like many times before this song was a happy accident as our drummer and I were working on a different song when I showed him the intro and verse riffs I wrote while waiting for him. After that the song came to together pretty easily in the last days of 2023 and we worked on it for a few months before recording it in May 2024.

We recorded Collide and Slower (our first single of the summer) with Tommi Hämäläinen at Music Bros studios in Imatra. Weekend well spent, had lots of laughs and a few beers and recorded two songs. Perfect. Collide was the last song we released before we started writing songs for our sophmore album and will not release anything for a while.

        Ah … nice. Okay. I will say that it starts to be interesting from 3.20 or so. If one to develop from that point on, then I could give it 4 stars. Work a bit more on lyrics and 5 stars is yours. 🙂 But look, when you have non harmonic, uneventful scream for 3 minutes it makes it very difficult to like it, even if it is a sci-fi like thing, apparently. Yes I could help you with interesting harmony, rhythm and possibly some lyrics. But as I comment earlier, if band could go and take basic music harmony and counterpoint class they will improve allot. Please try it, you’ll see. Sergei

          Lots of interesting notes there, some of which i agree with and some that i dont , but both of which are really appreciated. Im sure the band will check this sites post at some point so maybe you might find a later song by them more to your taste due to your own comments 🙂
