Buried In Bermuda are an alt-rock band from Bristol. Their songs not only smack you in the face but also make you think about things too!

Lucky Number Seven are quite possibly the heaviest two-piece around! With their alternative post punk sound is addictive for your ears. They are known for their energetic live performances!

Take a look at where the tour is taking the bands. If you’re nearby, go along and check them out live! If not then why not follow them both on their socials and check out their recorded music on Spotify!

Interview

Hey guys! I guess the first thing we should ask is how did this tour come about? Has it been in the works for a while or was it a spur of the moment kind of thing?

Buried In Bermuda – Great question! Last summer we had already arranged our debut Tour which took place in October 2024, and after seeing how quickly we had managed to put it all together – with help from our booking agent ‘Vizkill Records’ – we wanted to start work on a second Tour for 2025 to maintain momentum. Our search for a co-Headline band was easy as we had seen LN7 play live numerous times and we knew instantly that they were a band we needed to Tour with. After chatting with them over a pint at a summer gig in Wales, we both agreed to proceed!

Lucky Number Seven – Gilles came to me after playing a show at the Microdog battle of the bands and we got chatting and made friends, played a couple of shows together. He asked in LN7 would like to set up a tour with BIB and obviously we were like “fuck yeah!”. So in the works for a while !

It’s rare that we look at two bands’ names and think to ourselves whoa those are cool! Can you both give a bit of background as to why you picked your respective band names?

Buried In Bermuda – BIB was a nightmare journey! haha Even with over 100+ suggestions, we all failed to agree on a name that suited us. However, Kyle randomly suggested it following an unknown source of inspiration (possibly his emo past….haha), simply because of the alliteration and the mystery surrounding it. We love it now!

Lucky Number Seven – LN7 came about around 10 years ago. The number seven kept popping up in my life and around about that time I was writing music so from that, I went with LN7. It was also quoted in one of my favourite placebo songs !

What is it about each other’s bands that you admire the most, and have you learned anything from each other?

Buried In Bermuda – With our Tour starting on Friday (7th March), I am sure we have lots more to discover/love/hate about each other (haha!), but from the off I saw a lot of similar on-stage energy and aggression/passion within both bands’ music. It’s hard to define our sounds, but heavy alt-rock seems to fit both well. Additionally, I really admire Jack’s work ethic, focus and the passion he has for LN7 which will no doubt bring them success.

Lucky Number Seven – We admire their energy on stage, their power and great songwriting. Overall, we enjoy their presence both on and off stage! We learned about this professionalism and ‘go get it’ attitude.

Where can fans catch you on this co-headline tour?

Buried In Bermuda & Lucky Number Seven – We are playing six legs across the UK this March!
7th March – The Fighting Cocks, London
8th March – The Pipeline, Brighton
12th March – The Bell, Trowbridge
14th March – Satan’s Hollow, Manchester
15th March – Sin City, Swansea
21st March – Moor Beer, Bristol

What would each of you class as your biggest influences? Looking forward to hearing quite different answers for this one!

Buried In Bermuda –
Each individual in the band will have their own personal influences, but as a band, we think that ‘Alter Bridge’ have influenced us the most collectively. The clean vocals on the back of riff-heavy guitars and technical drums, is a sound we are evolving with.

Lucky Number Seven – I would say Placebo, Offspring, Viagra Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins and Deftones.

If you could each cover one of the other bands songs, which songs would you pick and why?

Buried In Bermuda – Love this question. It doesn’t seem to be a common thing amongst ‘grassroots bands’, but perhaps it should be! BIB would love to cover ‘Marker Pen’ as we love the 80s feel to it, and we would likely replace the original synth with dual harmonised guitars (and a cheeky solo of course!), to give it our own spin.

Lucky Number Seven – Electric, all day long! Because It would be hella fun to sing… It would also actually be nice to play a long song as most of ours are only about 2 minutes!

What are the funniest things that have happened at your shows so far, and do funny events make that particular gig stick in the mind more than others?

Buried In Bermuda – I (Gilles) usually get lost in the music and performance to observe much of the crowd (something I am working on!), but at a Halloween gig last year, I threw a box of chocolate biscuits out into the crowd as a gift, and it hit this guy square in the face. Luckily he saw the funny side!

Lucky Number Seven – There was one guy that was in a support band at one of our London shows (bass player) he was just about to grab the mic and took his bass off and was about to run and jump off stage and hit his head and landed on his back. It was only so funny as he was totally fine in the end and carried on the show like a trooper !

BIB would you mind breaking down the background for Electric, e.g. what inspired it, and LN7 would you be able to do the same for Marker Pen?

Buried In Bermuda – Electric was the last song that our original lineup all wrote together (2023). Our ex-drummer was going through a lot of personal issues and he wrote the second verse which captured how a new love can make you feel renewed/Electric. I wrote the other verse with more of a generic feel to it (estranged lover), so the added emotion from our ex-drummer really helped give the song its genuine and raw feel.

Lucky Number Seven – This was one of the first songs we wrote for our first EP and it was intended to be acoustic but once I took it to the band at the time it quickly turned into what it is you see today. It is still one of our most loved and personal favourites.

What would each of your dream festivals be? And what festivals have you attended as fans the most?

Buried In Bermuda – It would probably be Download, Wacken Open Air, or Bloodstock (now that we are making more of a heavier turn). Alex (drummer) is our serial festival goer, and most frequents Bloodstock, Arctangent and Download each year.

Lucky Number Seven – Luke has never been to a festival ! But I have never really returned to any festivals but we would really love to play Download.

If I was to ask you both Game Of Thrones vs Harry Potter vs Lord Of The Rings which one is coming out on top and why?

Buried In Bermuda – LOTRs hands down. JR Tolkien is a master storyteller who fashioned together a whole new world, afterlife, language and history. His characters have so much depth and the movies still hold up today as groundbreaking blockbusters. Not to mention our new bassist is obsessed with it…haha

Lucky Number Seven – Lord of the Rings all the way!

What would you say the best thing is about being in a band?

Buried In Bermuda – We enjoy how all the time, money, blood, sweat and tears (hard work in rehearsals, travelling to gigs, little to no money earned, etc.) is all vindicated the moment we are on stage. Those 30-60 minutes are some of the biggest buzzes we have all ever felt (especially the gigs with large and engaging crowds!).

Buried In Bermuda – Wolves (All Rights Are Retained By Buried In Bermuda)

Lucky Number Seven – Being able to express and push each other musically to create something new and outstanding.

Rather more provocatively, what would you say is the worst thing about being in a band?

Buried In Bermuda – Having to go back a step (or two), or even start afresh, if a band member leaves/quits. We have suffered a few setbacks, and despite eventually making us stronger and even more determined, it certainly takes its toll on mental health!

Lucky Number Seven – It’s a career ! It takes a lot of time but is so worth it. You’ve got to be committed !

Lucky Number Seven – ObSensitive (All Rights Are Retained By Lucky Number Seven)

Where is the holiday destination for each of the bands? Ps if it’s not Bermuda that really is an opportunity missed, I’m thinking full on festival there ha-ha.

Buried In Bermuda – You nailed it. It has to be Bermuda, headlining an open air festival at night with a huge neon light of our logo! (and fireworks behind). We can dream OK?!

Lucky Number Seven – Seven wonders of the world.

Finally, what can fans of each of your bands look forward to in 2025 from you both?

Buried In Bermuda – Having signed with a new management agency, we have an exciting release schedule lined up which will see us release new singles every 2-3 months! We also have a few festival slots to announce, a possible EP and another UK Tour booked for October.

Lucky Number Seven – Lucky fans are in for a treat as we have our debut album consisting of Seven tracks being released. Obviously a co-headline tour and more summer shows than you can shake a stick at !
