It’s the time of the week that we highlight one of our favourite new releases. This time its The Journey by Luna Motif. Read a little about the song in the band’s own words. Then, listen to it once or fifty times! We have also included the EP at the bottom of the page for you to enjoy!

Song Background Information

The artwork was initially conceptualised by Ross Byrne (Bass) and then Christo (Vocals) brought it to life using some modern online design tools.

Gerry’s evocative guitar riffs and licks in the studio sparked the creative revolution that brought this song to life. Its lyrics, penned by Christo, draw from years of deep introspection, meditation, and psychedelic exploration.

While we prefer to leave its meaning open to personal interpretation, allowing each listener to find their own connection, the song broadly reflects on the formation of life, the essence of existence, and the importance of embracing positivity.

It serves as a glimpse into Christo’s inner dialogue—where one voice is consumed by overthinking and the need to understand everything, while a calmer, wiser presence, perhaps the higher self, gently reminds us to let go of the noise and immerse ourselves in the present.

Ultimately, it’s a call to savor the journey rather than obsess over the destination—a celebration of being fully alive, in a state of eternal play.

This song completes our second EP, so we would welcome everyone to not only ride through The Journey, but go back to the first EP and travel through the peaks and troughs of our sound. Our next EP will be arriving in 2025, and we feel it is our best work yet. Stay tuned!
