    So not fair! Going with Pantera. Love them both but the remaster of Megadeth SoD is not my favorite – it’s too clean.

        The mix. The vocals are right up front except when they split them to the sides on “spect” with the drums steady in a rear central position. Adding in the guitar placement it manages to resemble how it would sound in an acoustically perfect garage. It has the feel of a studio I used to go to in Hollywood where they still had carpets on the walls to control the sound. It also kept the range and doesn’t feel optimized. Other than that I love both songs pretty equally.

    I’m going with Pantera only because every lame boyfriend I’ve ever had was stuck in that moment they discovered Megadeth when they were 13 and never evolved from there. Nothing against the band. Haha.

    Megadeth, no question. Pantera had a couple of good albums twenty years ago. Dave and Co produce a work of art every couple years. New one out soon, I hear.
