    Love The Pixies. Actually didn’t think much about them until they had a song (Wave of Mutilation) on the Pump Up the Volume soundtrack.

    Strokes. I was all set to like the Pixies more because I generally like their music, but the Strokes have this one in melody and rhythm.

    I know the Pixies is iconic, but I always preferred the Strokes more. The Strokes music made me think and relax more growing up.

        Okay so back in the day there were compact discs and parents couldn’t afford all of them so I had subjected myself to buying whichever one had the most likable and radio ready songs, I wore the heck out of Is This it. My fave song by them was: Hard to explain.

        I am familiar enough with the Strokes and do like their sound. The Pixies have a couple of songs that are just epic. “Monkey Gone to Heaven” is hard to beat.

    Going to go with the pixies only because they hold nostalgic memories of sitting in art class in college listening to their best of album for the umpteenth time on the room CD player.

    Pixies without a doubt. Black Francis, Frank Black, and the Catholics, whatever you want to call him. One of my favorites for sure!
