So I think we might have covered something like this previously but the number of people who visit the site has grown so much I’d love to revisit it!
For clarity this is not me saying these are the best in their field or whatever but purely who I personally would love! There is no limitations even death can’t stop this band! You can give your own answers in the comments section.
Lead Vocals
Chris Cornell (Audioslave/Soundgarden)
So in this instance its a singer I talked about fairly recently, and for good reason. The tone of his voice I feel is the reason why bands like Audioslave and Soundgarden were such a massive success!
Backing Vocals
Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace/ Saint Asonia)
The original (and best) singer for Three Days Grace has returned! What does the dual singer outlook of that band show me? That he would totally work as a backing vocalist and occasional lead singer for this band! I just love his voice and his bands are some of my very favourites.
Rhythm Guitar
James Hetfield (Metallica)
This dude needs absolutely not introductions! I think the backbone of the band and the one that drives Metallica on. Not to mention the vocals too haha! Check out tracks such as Battery to see why I have included this legend.
Lead Guitar
Angus Young (AC/DC)
You want a showman as your lead guitarist! In Angus you truly have one. The 70 year old shows absolutely no sign of slowing down and honestly can you imagine a supergroup with the guitar core of Metallica and AC/DC they would produce wonders together… I would love to have him strutting his stuff and brings real theatrics to this band.
Drums
Eloy Casagrande (Sepultura / Slipknot)
Honestly if he is good enough for Corey Taylor, then he is good enough for me… Apparently he was the only candidate worth considering when Jay Weiberg could no longer play. Lets not overlook his amazing work in Sepultura though and I think he would bring real his style of heavy metal drumming to a new venture brilliantly.
Bass
Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath)
I would have him as chief songwriter alongside bass duties but this dude is amazing. Check out Black Sabbath if you somehow havent already and tell me the bass is not absolutely sublime. He has already dictated what heavy metal is with Sabbath , I think its time he created another cool thing!
Keyboard
Jon Lord (Deep Purple / Whitesnake)
You don’t get better than this , honestly if someone disagrees with this fairly enough but you are wrong. Jon was the absolute backbone in the early Deep Purple era and absolutely tremendous. When I think of a rock keyboardist its him.
