I already wrote a quick essay for you today, so I hope these lyrics will suffice.

“Yeah, you wanna go out ’cause it’s raining and blowing
You can’t go out ’cause your roots are showing
    Dye ’em black
    Ooh, dye ’em black…”

Type O Negative’s cover of Summer Breeze pushes them to the finish line first. Mike

I really liked their sound and actually after I realized how much I liked Sober and Aenima, I started to realize that maybe I could like bands like Metallica. Even though Metallica is an older band I wasn’t convinced they were for me and then I gave them a re-listen and I was hooked. Tool will always be special to me b/c of that but also they’re awesome!

I love Tool but my wife and best mate have both banned me from playing them. Type O always seemed like a parody band – no bad thing – but I can’t look at them here

        Because they have no taste!

I mean, there’s a lot to dislike about that sort of music, right? A lot of counting and a lot of either art or artifice, precision or pretension. I like them a lot but I can see how it alienates people.

My best mate is also my old guitarist. In the band the singer loved The Libertines and the bass player Mars Volta. It caused a beautiful friction… until it tore apart

Oh wow I could see why that would cause an issue !

I was a young goth when I first heard a track on a Metal Hammer CD. Pete’s vocals, the musical style, the romanticism of the lyrics of certain songs like “Love You To Death”….they were easy to get into, and hard to stop listening to.

How often do you still listen to them ? 🙂
