My favorite 4th of July song is Sandy by Springsteen but my answer to your question is For Those About To Rock by ACDC.

I remember so much of that decade, the start of MtV, Nancy Reagan talking about drugs and the brain and the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of Communist Russia. Besides iconic music and concert series, like, Live Aide.

Iconic! 90s is rubbish in comparison

Nah, enter Grunge rock and a president being asked on MtV if he’s a boxer or briefs kind of guy.

Wrapped up when ‘Hell Froze Over’ with an iconic Eagles reunion and Fleetwood Mac’s reunion with their album The Dance.

American Girl by Tom Petty. Not exactly 4th of July-ish but it has a really summery sound.

I like “Fortunate Son” as a 4th of July jam. Just feels very American.

I hope it’s all right to put this link in to what I did last year on the 4th and also chose to post it on my blog this year. Of all of them my top favorite is Springsteen Born in the USA
