Which Rock Song Always Gets You Through Tough Times?

I feel like in tough times you need a song that has a really strong message. In particular a message of pure defiance against the worlds order of give up! Take centre stage Breaking Benjamin!

Breaking Benjamin – I Will Not Bow (All Rights Are Retained By Breaking Benjamin)

The song is all about the world really wearing you down but surviving in the face of this.

“All is lost again
But I’m not giving in”

The chorus itself is like a mantra to keep on going and sometimes that is the exact motivation people need. As a collective we need to recognise that we do have tough times but that we can overcome them.

“I will not bow
I will not break
I will shut the world away
I will not fall
I will not fade
I will take your breath away”

That is not to mention as well how great this song is to lift weights to , it has been on my gym playlist since day 1! Let me know the song that you turn to in your tough times in the comments section!

Given my usual fare, this is coming from way out in left field but when I first heard it in Sons of Anarchy, it has been my go-to ever since. Most know it as Opie’s Funeral Song….but it’s The Lost Boy by Greg Holden. That one really does it for me. Solid track that really makes you believe in yourself again.

Another I reach for again and again is Sounds Good To Me by Annihilator. It just has a really upbeat, positive vibe to it.

When the Crowds Are Gone- Savatage is another one

Take Hold of the Flame ~ Queensryche

Life & Death Iced Earth is another

To be fair, any song I can rock out to and sing loudly will do the trick so I must also add I Wanna Be Sedated
