New Rock Roundup

Rock

White Reaper – Freakshow.

This is a really light hearted rock song. With great flow and feel good vibes. If you were a “Freak” at school , or maybe you still identify as one… This is the song for you. With a smile on your face though obviously!

Metal

Dayseeker – Bloodlust.

This has the typical metal toughness mixed in with vocals that could at times be in a pop song. I like the combination, it feels heavy but at the same time it has real crossover potential. It wont hit the charts but it should. I love the lyrics here, they feel vulnerable.

Dayseeker – Bloodlust (All Rights Are Retained By Dayseeker)

Metalcore

Devil May Care ft Impvlse – Amen.

Atmospheric. Brutal. Delicate. Three things that should not work together in the same song but they have managed it. The harsh vocals never feel overpowering because of how they have been balanced with these beautiful clean singing. Even if you don’t like “Heavier” music you need to at least check this out.

Devil May Care ft Impvlse – Amen (All Rights Are Retained By Devil May Care ft Impvlse )

Punk

Agnostic Front – Way Of War.

Rapid pace, plenty of attitude. This is a punk so alright. It isn’t that long but that just means you can listen to it twice as much haha.

Agnostic Front – Way Of War (All Rights Retained By Agnostic Front)

Pop Punk

The Starting Line – I See How It Is.

I didn’t know I’d love such a drum heavy pop-punk banger. But man I do. The slightly harder than typical vocals too hook me in big time for this jam.

The Starting Line – I See How It Is (All Rights Are Retained By The Starting Line)

Alternative

Moon Fever – Decayed.

The band that won our best song at last years awards! Moon Fever are back with a song that is a little heavier than I am used to. But by god am I blown away! The band know exactly how to craft a song, with hooks galore! Vocally it is a little more harsher than I am used to but man is it still great! It reminds me so much of another band but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Moon Fever – Decayed (All Rights Are Retained By Moon Fever)

Indie

Pentire – I Won’t Waste Your Time.

If you like your indie rock to have splashing of pop then this might be the song and the band for you! It is refreshingly light and sometimes after a heavy day in the real world that is what we need. Right?

Pentire – I Won’t Waste Your Time (All Rights Are Retained By Pentire)
