New Rock Roundup
Rock
The Belair Lip Bombs – Back Of My Hand.
I love how light and breezy this song feels! Rock does not need to be smash you in the face. The bass is really heard throughout and its got more of a sway to it than a headbang. Perfect for a long road trip!
Metal
Dead Eyes – Turn The Lights Off.
I think that a metal song with pop like tendencies is interesting. It will have serious cross over appeal while still maintaining its metal roots. I enjoy the breakdown section as well as the harsh vocals when they are utilized.
Metalcore
Serinx – After Mightnight.
Did I just discover a Metalcore band that has amazing soft vocals, harsh vocals that are full of pain and electronic elements? You bet you I did! This is so different to what people who listen to this genre will be used to. Wow seriously listen to these vocals! Goosebumps!!!
Punk
Bob Vylan – Sick Sad World.
Not even remotely afraid to get political and I like that, it is exactly what punk should be. Even if you do not agree with their views! This tune has the typical punk vibe while also having a mix of vocal stylings. This is a bit out there give it a try!
Pop Punk
Yellowcard ft Avril Lavigne – You Broke Me Too.
So I thought Yellowcard was finished… In fact I went to what was supposed to be their last show in the UK. I am however so glad they are back. This is from the album they only just released and here they have this delicious pop punk ballad. What makes it even better? Avril Lavigne. Need I actually say more?
Alternative
Lost Faculty – Lost Enough.
I really enjoy the guitar parts throughout this song, they move form one section to the next and have a great riff in each of them! The crashing of the drums are also not too much which means it was done in close quarters to the vocals. This is a really well put together song that also rocks!
Indie
Bullet Dolls – Clear Skies.
It will be long before everyone knows this band! The raw emotion laden energy in the vocals is something absolutely wonderful. I have a thing for female vocals sorry haha. This band appears to be fresh out the womb creatively, they don’t even have an Instagram account! Start listening to them now and be the coolest person everyone knows…
