Judging By The Cover: Vol – 10

This is the series where we give you an abstract description of some of the most famous rock and metal album’s art! See the description below and try to see if you can figure out what we are describing… Let us know what it is in the comments!

Album Art Description

A simple explanation this week. The album features the artist on the cover of the record. They are in orange, red and yellow tones. This artist appears from the bottom left corner up with their neck. Their head and hair are the top left corner and into the middle. The person in question is mid vocals. There was a different cover in the UK with naked ladies. 19 of them infact.

Nope. Don’t ring a bell. Only one album that I know is that odd orangey yellow is this: And yes. Back in the day I liked them!! I like Zac.

haha finally someone appreciates Hanson like myself. At the time when they were super popular (late 90s?) when my bestie and I were in college, I think I played them on YT… wait was YT even around then???? Nvm. Um.. and she really got sick of me singing and hopping everywhere singing Mmmbop! It was so funny… she’d be like “Sam! Stop that listening to that music!” But, I can tell you that she hated another song (Beck Loser – which imho is the voice of Gen X with that song!) even more lololol good memories!

    I’m disappointed in myself. You’d think I’d remember 19 naked ladies…. 🙂

I’m stumped on this one, but it does sound familiar.

Hendrix, ‘Electric Ladyland’. Has to be. In my early teens I worked in a record shop, which was part of a shop selling electrical gods, on Saturdays. The store manager, in a fit of mischief, displayed this album cover – fully opened-out – in a prominent position in the front of the shop window. They were conservative times, and this was a very ‘respectable, middle-class’ area; the locals were scandalised by the cover. We in the shop – including the owner – thought it was a hoot. Way to go, Jimi. 🙂

If you’d seen the starchy middle-aged ladies of the neighbourhood reacting as they walked past you’d have roared. Simple pleasures …. 🙂

Aha! The barenaked ladies gave this away for me. I’d be really interested to see the Linda Eastman/McCartney art that the artist actually wanted.

This is the album title that Kirsty MacColl later reversed, innit?
