I’m completely rubbish with years. Was going to say 78 or 79, but a little voice is telling me that Sweet Emotion was off Toys, and wasn’t that released in 1975?

Your initial thinking was leading you astray before the clutch play at the end! Well done 🙂

Once again, the only solid reference fir me (as opposed to “the mid ’70s”), was the fall of Saigon, which was in the news this year, since it was 50 years ago, in 1975.

I got it right. I was pretty sure from Love Hurts and Sweet Emotion, but I knew for sure the fall of Saigon. (Interesting, because I wasn’t quite born yet then…)

Also, potentially a little tricky, because Sweet Emotion was re-recorded with a new music video in the early 90s, if I remember right. I was looking that up a few months ago when I made it my Song of the Day.

Blimey, nailed it, 1975 all the way. Those ZZ Top riffs still get me air-guitaring in the kitchen, and who doesn’t love a bit of Nazareth heartache on a rainy afternoon? Aerosmith’s Sweet Emotion was my first ever vinyl scratch, proper nostalgia hit. Spot on with the clues too, Junko Tabei smashing that Everest record had me cheering like she’d just nicked one past the keeper. Cracking game as always, keep ’em coming!

1975, I am old enough to remember the fall of Saigon. And I loved Tush, Sweet Emotion and I remember hearing them on the Radio. I got Toys in the Attic for my Birthday or maybe it was christmas,
