It has been a great year in the realms of all things rock! What better way to celebrate the brilliant new releases of 2025 by counting down our favourites.
Band Background
Forming in Florida in 1997, Yellowcard are known for their infectious energy in the form of alt-rock and pop punk. They became a defining band in the pop punk resurgence in the early 2000’s. They disbanded in 2017 but have since reformed with a new sense of desire (Judging by this album!).
What’s Good About This Album
This album shows off the desire the band clearly had to come back with a bang. It feels polished and energized. Travis Barker (Of Blink-182) not only played drums on every track but also he lent a hand to produce it. There are lashing of nostalgia and emotion which will please new fans as well as old!
Favourite Tracks
The title track of the album has a real upbeat energy to get across themes of resilience and growth. It’s has that formula needed to make it catchy, uplifting and memorable.
This song features on our “New Rock Roundup” playlist! It has a real emotional punch, with a driving rhythm. It feels raw at its core and the inclusion of Avril Lavigne was always going to be a winner! The contrast between singers makes this a standout.
