This is our brand new weekly feature (Normally) on a Monday! The New Rock Roundup will rank the latest releases spanning across the world of rock music. With entries from rock, metal, metalcore, punk, pop punk, alternative and indie!
There will be a brief explanation about why I (Fox) enjoy the song in question from each category before I rank them at the end in terms of my own preference. I would love to hear your own person ranking as well as why you agree with or disagree with my comments.

New Rock Roundup
Rock
Kensington – Call You Home.
I get real Kings Of Leon vibes from this Netherlands based band! That is praise I do not give lightly… It is just straightforward great rock. Nothing heavy, other than the lyrics.
Metal
Glamour Of The Kill – Suffer.
Man this takes me back! I used to absolutely love love love this band before things sort of went a bit off kilter for them. I am thrilled that they are back with a brand new album in the new year and I for one will be picking up a copy. Fans of metal music will be all over this with unique vocals, hard riffs and pounding drums.
Metalcore
Future Palace – Deep Blue.
I saw these around this time last year and they made one hell of an impression on me (actually after the gig). I found myself connecting with their songs much more having seen them live, and the passion they put into every word. The crowd commanding harsh vocals mixed with these heavenly cleans give this relistenability. Yes that isn’t a word.
Punk
Wasted Youth Club – Bad Blood.
This is punk but with lashings of fuzz. Man do I love fuzz! The vocals are commanding, the pace is addictive and the guitar solo is something else! I have since got lost on a wasted youth club spiral and that is why this comment is not longer.
Pop Punk
Pabst – Limbo No.5.
A feel good pop-punk hit, not a great deal that is too ground-breaking here other than the brilliant bass. Sometimes we just want to listen to songs that make us feel happy right?
Alternative
The Brave – Take It All Away.
I really enjoy the guitar throughout this song, but when its combined with the vocals this song is a hit! With the section where its just the vocals being absolutely sublime. I think fans of bad omens are going to LOVE this.
Indie
Pretty Jane – Do You Want Me Around?
Light and breezy, pretty much the counter point to some of the other songs this week! I love the transitions in this song as they feel effortless which naturally means a lot of thought was put into them. Lyrically its beautiful too.
