Song Of The Week – Eels! Eels! Eels! – How the Cruel

Eels! Eels! Eels!

It’s the time of the week that we highlight one of our favourite new releases. This time its How The Cruel by Eels! Eels! Eels!. Read a little about the song in the band’s own words!

Song Background Information

Eels! Eels! Eels! – How The Cruel (All Rights Are Retained By Eels! Eels! Eels!)

‘How the Cruel’ channels the haunting history of Matthew Hopkins, the infamous witchfinder general of 17th-century England. The song paints a vivid narrative of how Hopkins manipulated law abiding citizens and figures of authority into believing innocent people were in league with the devil. The band cites influences from Deep Purple, Jefferson Airplane, and Queens of the Stone Age, crafting music that’s equal parts ferocity and atmosphere.

Eels! Eels! Eels! How The Cruel

We have a show in Cambridge on the 6th of December at the Tram Depot and a show in Bury St Edmunds in 28th of February, 26. Also we are looking to release our new EP in March, 26’ and we a release show in Cambridge.
