Band Background
The American rock/metalcore band I Prevail are moving into a new era for the band with a brand new singer. This is the bands fourth album. Having initially shooting to fame with their cover of a Taylor Swift song they now focus on blending aggressive riffs with addictive melodic hooks.
What’s Good About This Album
This feels like a new chapter, yet keeps the intensity and heavy riffs of previous outings. With vocals both harsh and clean knocking it out the park the honesty in the lyrics is really appreciated.
While the band might sometimes verge on the heavier side the best thing about this particular album is the combination of both sides of the coin. While the track list is varied in complexity and heaviness it still manages to feel cohesive.
Favourite Tracks
The title track has monstrous guitars, huge drums and harsh vocals that hammer home the intensity of the band. It lays out the blueprint for the grittier songs on the record while also giving space for the softer hits.
Maybe you’re after the melodic side of the bands music well this gives you that and vulnerability too. It still has those mammoth breakdowns too but this feels like it connects to your soul.
