It has been a great year in the realms of all things rock! What better way to celebrate the brilliant new releases of 2025 by counting down our favourites.
Band Background
We recently interviewed Fomies and it is fair to say we love the Swiss band here at Fox Reviews Rock. Having initially heard them on The Dingir Zu Prophet Show my love for them has only grown. Their fuzz infused psych rock has me hooked.
What’s Good About This Album
This album for one pushes their psych sound to new sectors in the galaxy. With sections of it not feeling out of place on a shoegaze type record the blend of aggression and fuzz is amazing. This could have been over produced, but that would have taken away some of its magic. The grit they have left in intentionally improves it.
Favourite Tracks
As it goes this is probably the least psych song on the entire album. Instead leaning more towards fizz and maybe even a little bit of punk. With strong riffs acting like a magnet this is something you will continue to be drawn back to.
The middle section of Colossus I, II & III. This features MASSIVE bass, huge drums and playful keyboard parts too. I like that its an instrumental and this should never score a song down. This is true heavy psych and will transport you away from wherever you are.
