This is our brand new weekly feature (Normally) on a Monday! The New Rock Roundup will rank the latest releases spanning across the world of rock music. With entries from rock, metal, metalcore, punk, pop punk, alternative and indie!
There will be a brief explanation about why I (Fox) enjoy the song in question from each category before I rank them at the end in terms of my own preference. I would love to hear your own person ranking as well as why you agree with or disagree with my comments.

The Pretty Reckless – Where Are You Christmas?
This would be the best song in this list if it wasn’t for my love for Fall Out Boy… Honestly what more do you want than the child actor revisiting their famous Christmas role! Taylor Momsen is absolutely fantastic in the Grinch and on this reimagining of the song.
Metal
Stryper – Winter Wonderland.
The only metal Christmas song that I could find that has been released this year. That however should not take away from how great it is!
Pop Punk
Fall Out Boy – It Feels Like Christmas.
OK so combining my love for Muppets Christmas Carol and Fall Out Boy should not be allowed. Alas it’s happened and this song will now live rent free in my head on a yearly basis! I love they way Patrick’s voice makes this a FOB song without taking away that link to the original.
Alternative
Poppy – Last Christmas.
This cover is slightly odd in that she changes the flow of the original altogether! But I guess that is what makes it so great. It’s moments of heaviness but never hits the same darkness her music normally goes to.
Indie
Sweet Bronco – Nothing Sweeter.
If you love this song please check the band out they only get 100 listeners a month on Spotify which feels like a crime! If you’re into Christmas songs and Indie then this will hit all the right spots. It’s slightly simplistic in spots but what Christmas song isn’t?
Fox’s Ranking
1st Place: Fall Out Boy
2nd Place: The Pretty Reckless
3rd Place: Poppy
4th Place: Stryper
5th Place: Sweet Bronco
